Sometimes I miss the time when women were just supposed to look all pretty and innocent that's it. Remember? before they released 'Pride and Prejudice'! I mean why? why are we so competitive, does competition bring improvement, YES! Does it teach you something new about yourself, it sure does! But how does it ever helps you be happy? if you are not the winner, you are left all devasted! doubting your own ability. What am I good at, if not this! and if you are a winner the happiness doesn't feel that satisfying also! (maybe it happens to just me)
I don't know about everyone but I start doubting all my capabilities when I lose at something. (Something as small as a stupid TT match in the colony). Does it mean I will always lose to everyone and at everything I desire for! I don't know if it's true or not but facts suggest so! like I never cleared any competitive exam ever! I never really secured 1st rank at anything. Except for school exams! and they were pretty lame! I am not destined to win anything.
Ugghhhh, so depressing! But if you think about it, it's all true! ( at least for me it is) I really want to get out of this sad bubble and cheer myself up. What I generally do is, I get sad, I watch something funny, some sitcom, and forget about it. When what I really should be doing is, preparing myself for the better. I should be thriving to be my best and try again! try again! try again!
I have realized this when we work hard for something, even if we lose we are satisfied. Because it's not the match/ competition that's teaching us but the path to it, the preparation that plays the most important role in building our morale!
'Pride and Prejudice' was written to make us realize that we are all humans and there should be no preconceived notions based upon one's gender. I believe that based on anything there should never be any preconceived notion! we were blessed to have been born on this beautiful planet Earth, just cherish that fact and be happy! find happiness in all the small things! If you look at it, everything is a miracle, and you are one of them. never think of yourself even a bit lesser because of some stupid competition. You are so much more! Your energy is amalgamated with the universe's energy so make sure it's positive and you spread positivity!
Life is build of ups and downs! Embrace this fact and live to the fullest. Be pretty! Be kind and know that there is no other competition but the competition of being the better version of yourself.
